Tanya DesJardins is a registered nurse with 16 years of clinical and leadership experience in surgical services focused on Quality Improvement, Regulatory Compliance, and Patient Safety. She spent much of her career at Children’s Hospital of Michigan serving in various roles as an Operating Room Nurse, Nurse Educator, Service Line Coordinator for Orthopedics and Neurosurgery, and eventually, led the development of the Neurosurgery Nurse Navigation Program. She joined MSSIC in 2022 as an abstractor for Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital. Tanya earned her bachelor’s degree from Madonna University in 2007 and received LEAN Silver Certificate for Health care professionals in 2022.
